    Edison State Community College is providing a 100% tuition waiver to 2021 graduating high school seniors as a way of assisting our community during challenging times. Whether taking classes online or in-person, students can take comfort in knowing the credits earned at Edison State will transfer seamlessly to four-year universities nationwide.

    The 100% tuition waiver is available to all graduating high school seniors in the Edison State service area (Darke, Miami, Preble and Shelby counties) or those who attend a high school that has a College Credit Plus partnership with Edison State. The tuition waiver applies to courses offered at any Edison State location or online. The 100% tuition waiver covers the cost of tuition, which includes instructional fees, general fee, technology fee, activity fee and career services fees. Students are responsible for lab fees, security fees, books or additional fees.

    What does the 100% tuition waiver cover?

    The waiver covers 100% of the base tuition rate. Tuition rates are charged per credit hour and include the instructional fee, general fee, technology fee, activity fee and career services fee. Any financial aid awarded to the student will pay first.

    What is not covered by the 100% tuition waiver?

    The waiver does not cover the cost of textbooks and other course supplies, lab fees for individual courses, the security fee, transcript fee, proficiency exam fee, portfolio evaluation fee, online course fee and web-flex course fee. See light bulb image for cost coverage breakdown.

    Does it matter what high school I attend?

    This offer is available to all graduating seniors in the Edison State service area (Darke, Miami, Preble and Shelby counties) and students graduating from a high school that partners with Edison State to offer College Credit Plus. Homeschooled students living within the Edison State service area are also eligible.

    How do I determine my eligibility?

    • Students new to Edison State must submit an application at
    • Current CCP students only need to submit a Major Declaration Form.
    • All students should make an appointment to meet with a Career Pathways Advisor to register for classes. An Advisor contact list is available at
    • Students MUST enroll at Edison State for the summer, fall or spring semester immediately after their graduation—in order to be eligible for the waiver.
    • Students MUST stay continuously enrolled at Edison State (fall and spring semesters) to continue receiving the waiver.
    • Once established, waiver eligibility will remain for each continuously enrolled semester until degree completion OR the completion of 70 total credit hours.

    How do I qualify for the tuition waiver?

    Students MUST file the FAFSA before the waiver can be awarded. Students MUST accept any grants and/or scholarships that may be awarded before receiving the waiver.

    • It is recommended to file the FAFSA as soon as possible.
    • Visit and enter Edison State’s code: 012750
    • This is a last-dollar waiver that is only applied to students’ accounts after all other grants and/ or scholarships are awarded.
    • If other forms of financial aid cover tuition charges for the semester, the waiver will not be applied. However, once eligibility is established, the waiver review will continue until degree completion or the completion of 70 credit hours.
