    Major  Nursing

A little bit about me  I am 27 years old, have a family of my own and work full time in a lab. I graduated from the Upper Valley Career Center in Piqua, Ohio and studied interactive media. I truly enjoy being a student and have taken classes at Edison State on and off since graduating high school.

What I am passionate about  I am passionate about my career goals of becoming a nurse! Never in my life have I felt so motivated to see a decision through. This past year I faced my fear of Chemistry 110 and 111 and achieved an A in both classes (with thanks to Mrs. Hu!). I am ready for the next semester to begin!

What I like to do in my spare time  Spending time with my family, oil painting, gardening and music.

My mentor is  My favorite mentor is my significant other. He is always guiding me to be the best that I can be and honestly, without his support, I don't think that I would be where I am today. Doubt is such a powerful emotion and whenever it begins to creep into my thoughts, he picks me up and reminds me of what I am capable of. I'm truly lucky to have him!

What influenced my decision to become a nurse  The day that I delivered my son in a water birth was the day that I decided that I wanted to be a nurse. I had the most amazing nurses who truly empowered me. I want to be that nurse—who one day—can empower patients and make them feel as great as I did that day.
