    Kailani

I am nineteen-years-old and I love to play basketball. I am a very shy person and I really do not like to do things that involve speaking in front of people. I am a very funny person and I like to laugh at my own jokes. I will be attending Lourdes University after graduation from Edison State.

What are you passionate about?  I am passionate about taking care of others before myself. To be honest, one thing that I am really passionate about is life—discovering everything that it has to offer—experiencing everything to the fullest. I am also passionate about making an impact on the world. I am passionate about my family and about being able to continue my basketball career at the next level.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?  I like to watch movies and go to the gym and shoot around.

Who is your favorite instructor, coach or mentor?  My favorite coach is Mr. Tim McMahon and my favorite instructor is my government professor, Mr. Joseph Raterman.

If you could instantly become fluent in another language, what would it be?  It would be Spanish for sure. The way that they talk is so cool.

What school activities, clubs or sports are you involved in?  I play basketball.

What are your career goals?  I would like to go overseas to play basketball.

What influenced your decision to choose the particular major/career path that you are in?  Basketball influenced my decision to attend Lourdes University and major in sports management. I love playing sports and I always wanted to do something that involves sports and I love helping people. I would like to give a special shout out to my coaches at Edison State. I really appreciate everything that you have done for me over the past two years. Thank you for helping me out when I needed it and for being like fathers to me while I was so far away from home. You pushed me to become a better student and a better athlete.

    Kaylesha

I am nineteen-years-old and have been playing basketball for nine years. I have four brothers and seven sisters. I am a shy person but I love to spend time with friends and family. I also love to eat, sleep and watch television. I plan to continue my education and basketball career at Lourdes University.

What are you passionate about?  I am passionate about myself and about basketball. You spend your entire life with yourself so self-improvement is always a good investment. I like to share my passion for basketball with others.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?  I enjoy hanging with friends and spending time with loved ones.

Who is your favorite instructor, coach or mentor?  My favorite coach is Mr. Tim McMahon. He has been like a father to me and has always had faith in me.

If you could instantly become fluent in another language, what would it be?  I would definitely choose Spanish.

What school activities, clubs or sports are you involved in?  Honestly, basketball is just about the only thing that I like to do.

What are your career goals?  I want to get my bachelor's degree in exercise science and have a successful life.

What influenced your decision to choose the particular major/career path that you are in?  At first, I did not know what to do—there were so many options. I decided to get a degree in science from Edison State and then go on to study exercise science.
