At Edison State Community College, the health, safety and well-being of our students, faculty, staff and their families is of the utmost importance. The College has moved into Phase 4 of the Edison State COVID Recovery Plan. Please review these guidelines below.
Edison State is operating under Phase 4 of the Edison State COVID Recovery Plan. We anticipate remaining under this status for the remainder of the 2022–2023 academic year.
We actively review local, state and national health data and remain in close communication with the Miami County Health Department on all aspects of health and wellness. We continue to promote access to vaccinations and will host a campus vaccine clinic this fall.
First and foremost, we urge student, faculty and staff to stay home when experiencing any signs of illness.
In the event that someone is working in an office and displays symptoms of illness, the department supervisor has the authority to request the person go home or wear a mask while on campus.
The Facilities team continues to diligently clean areas of public use and they will specifically sanitize areas upon notice of an ill student or employee.
We do not anticipate comprehensive campus closures, but we are monitoring attendance trends and the severity of community illness. Targeted actions will be triggered by circumstances deemed to disrupt the educational or service capacity of the College.
All staff are responsible for their own health and the health of students and co-workers. Please stay home when sick, take advantage of all vaccines, utilize vacation and sick time and consult with Darlene Francis regarding your health and wellness. —Dr. Larson, 09.06.2022
